Rand-Scot now has available an EasyPivot patient lift suitable for many persons up to 440 pounds. The new EasyPivot, designated EP-440, incorporates many of the time proven features found on our smaller machines. It is therefore especially suited to current “Pivot” users who have gained weight past the limit of their older machines.
 
Every aspect of the EP-440 is designed for higher weight capacity. Unlike standard Easy Pivots, the EP-440 uses a dual latch system for safety. The base uses dual ball bearing wheels to help maneuver the heavy patient. Both machine height and leg width are adjustable to best fit the patient’s physique, wheelchair and living.
 
Extra wide knee pads and chest pad are standard to accommodate heavy thighs and large girth persons. Also, many of Rand-Scot’s accessories fit or can be adapted for the larger machine. For example, heel cups (as shown in the picture) can be fitted to accommodate tight hamstrings.

In that the fitting of large individuals is quite unique, as well as caregiver dependent, it is important that Rand-Scot be contacted to gather data to help insure proper application. As such, the new EP-440 is only available factory direct or through Rand-Scot’s network of pre-qualified dealers.
